A Visual & Poetic Exploration of Inner Worlds
Reverie in bloom is a conceptual photobook that merges photography, editorial design, and poetic text to evoke a surreal narrative of desire, innocence, and escapism. Through symbols such as red apples, mirrors, water, and sky, the book journeys through emotional landscapes tied to themes like temptation, purity, and inner reflection. Designed with a romantic yet mysterious tone, the project invites the viewer to interpret scenes as fragments of memory or dream. Inspired by fashion editorials and modern mythology, the work blurs the boundary between fiction and self-expression.

Reverie in Bloom is a collaborative project between Meva Aktaş and myself. Together, we co-developed the concept and visual language, with each of us contributing unique strengths across photography, styling, writing, and design. My specific contributions included: Co-directed and styled photo shoots, selecting symbolic props and settings (e.g. red apple, mirror, water) to evoke the project’s emotional and thematic layers Developed moodboards and visual references to shape the surreal, romantic tone of the book.Focused on crafting metaphorical language that complemented the visuals and created a narrative thread. Designed the book layout with a focus on balance between image and text, flow, and pacing. Handled typography, page structure, and overall visual cohesion in line with the project’s aesthetic direction.
